Hey kellyg. I just bought an Outback and it was $639.00
The last bow I bought was a PSE Durango and it was listed at $589.00 and I got it for $380.00
That was about 3 years ago. I still have the PSE because my Outback has not come in yet. I shot Bowtech, Hoyt and Mathews for about 3 hours before I decided. It was really hard to pick. They are all such great shooting bows. All very quiet and fast.
The Hoyt had a small grip that I didn't really like. The Bowtech Patriot and the Mathews Outback were neck and neck for about the last hour. Both were very smooth and fast. I chronographed both of them and the Outback shot carbons (29"draw at #70) at 268 fps. The Patriot shot around 280 fps( I think??) I ended up going with the Outback. It is really smooth and quiet.
I can't wait to pick it up later this week. I'm not sure what arrows I will get because there are so many.
What do any of you bow hunter use for arrows???

Right now I'm shooting Carbon Express Terminator Hunter's. Soon though, I think I'm gonna look at some Easton St. Axis or some Beman ICS Hunters. But I too, am open for suggestions.

Well I picked up myOutback today. I am still waiting on my Trophy Ridge drop away rest but I have the sights on it. I also bought 1/2 doz of those Easton St. Axis arrows. Man it costs a lot to get all set up again from scratch. I'm going on a Fire Dept. Hog hunt in Cotulla on March 8,9 and 10th..I just finished building a real nice 10' Tripod today. I can't wait till the hunt. I'll let ya'll know how the bow does for me once I get it set up and tuned..Adios'

Hey Hank,
Congrats on the bow and good luck on the hunt! I love the hog hunting near Cotulla. The best hog/javelina ranch I have ever hunted is a 7,000 acre ranch down there. Unfortunately the rancher sold it and retired. The new owner closed it to outside hunting......
Post your hunt info for us in the Wild Boar forum when you get back........can you tell I am jealous? ;D
Good Hunting,
Bob
