Howdy all, I hope everyone had a great turkey day. What do y'all think about the qr scope mounts? I am going to be buying the NEF survivor with the .308 and .223 bull barrels, both come with the weaver scope mounting rail and was wondering if I could just use the quick release scope rings with a Burris FF II? what do ya think?

I have been going over this myself(for a browning bar I have)and I havent decided yet looks good in theory just not sure wheather or not it will return to zero every time am also looking at the talley system,I do know the old style weavers will but I personally dont like them cause they are a pain to get a scope mounted right(no matter how I mount it its always crooked)as for useing 1 scope on 2 bbls in 2 different cals I dont think itl work (has a lot to do with the base mounting to the bbl and alignment not to mention the differences in the cals)

I decided on Leopold QD scope mounts for a 44 Mag revolver recently. Although I have only owned the gun a short time the system seems to be reliable, sturdy and repeatable. I have to agree with the good Sgt. in that the largest problem with the mounting may not be in the rings but with the position of the rail on either barrel being somewhat different. If the whole shebang went on straight and consistently on both barrels you are still going to have to deal with point of impact differences in some very different cartridges. Just my 2 cents.
