I've seen several posts about the Sigthron scopes. Apparently, there ae no dealers here in good ole Waco that carry that scope. What's the poop on them, are they any good and how much are they?  |

Hey jdickey, Here is the link to their site and to Bear Basin. Sightron had some reliabiltiy problems earyly on, but the word is they have handled that. The folks that have them seem to like them. They are priced between the Elite 3200 and the Nikon Monarch. Bear Basin usually has the best prices on scopes and if they don't they will match prices. They also have a VERY knowledgable staff. I have gotten 7 or 8 scopes from them so far. I would suggest calling them and ask about the Sightron's. Just tell them what your budget is and what you are going to put it on and hunt with it. jd I have 5 of the 3x9x42s2 series scopes and I am most happy with them,I would compare them to leupold/nikon in brightness(especally at dawn and sunset)the s1 is the cheeper of them as only the front and rear lenses are coated,tha s2 and s3 are fully multicoated(all lenses as in leupold and nikon)I havent had any froblems with the tracking(which is I think is what was rong with the early ones)with that said if I had a leupold I would not just replace it with them(I started with redfields and these are head and shoulders above them)also every so often you can catch them on sale at midway,www.midwayusa.com(just mention but honey theyr on SALE to th wife that they understand ;D ;D)
