Has anyone tried the Redfield 6x20 or the 4x16 or know anything about them. I have two Redfield 3x9 and have had nothing but good luck with them, but am not familiar with the higher powered scopes and I'm looking for a new scope now.

I had one Redfield 3-9x40 that I bought in 1998, I think, with my Weatherby Vanguard from Wal-Mart. At first I was having a lot of trouble getting the rifle to group. It seemed that I was shooting multiple groups. I finally realized that there was about 1 foot of parallax on 100 yard targets, and if my eye position wasn't exactly consistent my groups would shift. The objective wasn't adjustable. That scope went back to Wal-Mart and I put on a cheap Bushnell Trophy 3-9x42 that I've been very happy with.
Don't have any experience with the Redfield scopes you mentioned, though. Sorry for bending your thread.

Ricochet, I went ahead and bought a 4x16 for my AR and so far it has worked out great, shot some pdogs with it a couple weeks ago some at really long ranges for shootin out a truck window. Got no complaints. By the way welcome, think you'll find some really good folks here.
