as I posted earler I recently bought a new rifle and they mounted a 4.5x14/50mm Sightron scope on it.This past weekend was the first time Ive been able to use this rifle and scope combination in the field and I can say this is the clearest and brightest scope Ive ever seen or used.I now have a much greater appreication of those old german hunters with their 8x56 schmidt&bender and heinsholt scopes, useing this scope I was able stay on stand much later than normal,my cheepa##ed walleyworld binos gave up about 1815(with sunset at 1800)with the scope I still had a clearly defined target zone at 300+ yards till well past an hour after sunset, with the 3/4 moon I had clearly defined crosshairs and field of view past 200yds at 6x at 8x I could see to the same 300+ yds as at daytime, the only drawback is I need to learn to judge distance and size at night!! and is purely my own fault,as far as return to zero once I get it set I dont move it again(unless I manage to mess it up) 8-)now I need to find binos that will keep up with the scope

:)Hey Sarge... glad to hear about Sightron. I've been curious about them since hearing about them on this board.
Try the Brunton binos... they's got all kinds of binos for every need and the gadgets to go with them. Probably offering more versatility than any one on the market right now. (IMO)

now I need to find binos that will keep up with the scope Hey Sarge: Look at the Nikon Monarchs. I bought a pair this past summer and am very satisfied with them. I got them from BassPro and had the opportunity to look at a bunch of different brands there before selecting the Nikons. good shooting. Jim

Get you a pair of Steiner Nighthunters and never look back.
