I need your oppinions.I was just told today by a guy who is a gun dealer that the Burris 3x9x40 will be on sale for $235(w/B PLX).Iwasgonna buy the 3.5x10x50(w/B PLX).It was gonna cost me around $320.Several questions;would you go with the 40mm obj,is there really any noticable difference between 9x mag power and10x;and last but not least,do these sound like good prices? Oh yeah, the scope is going on a 22-250 calling rifle.

Hey Cross J,
I personally prefer the 40mm objective with the 3-9. It is a perfect balance of light transmission. That is what I have used on all of my calling rifles.
FYI-Bear Basis has the FF-II 3-9x40 Matte BPlex for $189 and the 3.5-10x50 Matte BPlex for $309.
Good Hunting,
Bob

If you are looking at the FullField 2, Midsouth has them in 3X9 with Ballistic Plex, in matte finish, *WITH a free spotting scope* for $196 and change!

For what it's worth, Bear Basin and SWFA will compete against each other in prices. Since you don't live in Texas (SWFA or Riflescopes.com) or California (Bear Basin), sales tax is not an issue. I've done a lot of business with Bear Basin over the last few years, and they are a great company to work with.
