Bobcat was down for some schooling and hurt my feelings by saying that my camo was no better then a white shirt So to save everyone else try out this trick or treat. I had a set of desert camo bdu's that I was using while calling with bob. Even though the camo is named "desert" it really stands out in any terrain except SOLID sand. Should be sand camo. I had never noticed this hunting by myself but it was very obvious when bobcat pointed it out. I should have had a white flag flying, the light colors really stould out. I am on a money crunch and needed them to work for awhile (since I HAVE to purchase a loudmouth now) So I went and bought some dark brown RIT fabric dye this evening and dipped them in for only a brief time. It turned all the light tan to a darker brown. They color match nicely with the sandy terrian, scrub oak, bushes and grass. Well worth the 2.50 I will post pictures for you guys as soon as the come out of the dryer and I can get them outside for a picture If you are like me you might even have some fye handy at the house. I always dye cheap long white socks for hunting. That way no flag flying when you sit down. I also dye terry cloth shop towels as the come in handyin the field for misc. use.

Did your wife let you do that in the home washer or did you have to go to the laundrymat? Sometime dyes can make a mess. I like your idea with the white socks.

I did it in a 5 gallon bucket in the garage ;D I didn't test my luck with the new washer and dryer. They are less then 2 months old and she had to cut me off to get them... in the first place.
