Don't know why you want to tease me that way The 376 equals and can exceed the 375 H&H depending on how its loaded and with a medium size action. I'll see if I can find all the info I have and send it to you.

Coondog have located a couple of MK10 mausers, would this cartg fit a std action length ,also found a P17 enfield that would make a great 375H&H :Pbut would take lots of work to modify ,the 376 would be as good if it fits

3.2" oal is the max you want to go! Never heard of the Mk10 but, the P-17 would make a dandy 366DGW that has been done. The 366 DGW is a 416 Rigby necked down to 9.3mm/.366 cal and can you say AWESOME.... Throws a 250gr slug faster than the 300 Ultra does a 180. Is flatter shooting than the 338 Lapua Mag,338-378 Wby and has 3995 ft lbs at 300 yards and over 2400 at 600!! ;D Try a 300 grain bullet at 2950 with out excessive pressure. Forgot to mention this is from a 23" barrel ;D

hey cav. sgt.
u spoke of a mauser mark 10.... is this just the action...i had a interarms mark 10 rifle chambered for the 375 h/h it was definately a mauser type action...not sure if it the same thing. l myself have been want to have someting built.....i was thinking of a 350 rigby....but that is close to this 366 dgw.... can u tell me what the "dgw" stands for. i know u are a big fan of the 6.5 sweed. have u any experience with the 9.3 x 62 or the 9.3 x 64. cz chambers a 9.3 x 62. that i am toying with buying. the 62 looks simular to the 35 whelen. would enjoy any input...

the 9.3x62 is a wonderful cartg,It will do anything the whelen can(which is saying a lot,Im also a BIG whelen fan)for years the only bullet that was avalable was the sierra 270gr sp,which a 270gr @ 2400fps will penitrate end to end of most critters, the 9.3x62 has been used in Africa, Asia and the contenent for lots of years on NONDangerous and Dangerous animals,It is very popular on the AccurateReloading board ,as it has become more popular in the states more bullets have become avalable,Norma lists a 236,250,286?,nosler a 250ballistic tip and a 286 partition, speer a 270gs and others.About 3 yrs ago I built a 35Gibbs which is esentually a 9.3x62 necked down to .358 I can push a 250gr to app 2650 fps it is vurtually the same as the 358Hawk(30-06 necked up and blown out)because at the time 9.3 bullets werent avalable ,,,,,,,,and yes I was refering to a Mauser MK10 which is a commercial M98 Mauser(Im just used to abbreivateing and anacriniming everything as in army reports)the 9.3x64 is designed on an odd one off case and isnt as good a ctg because of it(9.3x62 can be made from 30-06/280/270 family,9.3x64 stands alone)

I have a Steyr Pro Hunter in 376 Steyr....it's my "light" rifle ;D......even with a 20" barrel, it is within 150-200 fps of a 375 H&H! The 376 Steyr will fit in about any action that can handle 30-06 length cartridges... Got a CZ 550 in 416 Rigby for the medium stuff and a 50 bmg when it's time to take down something big! ;D Funny thing though......since I got the 50, there hasn't been a single T-Rex spotted in this area......maybe I bought it for nothing
