Hey guys, a quick question: I'm wondering if anyone has tried the 85 grn V-Max in .243? I have an NEF Handi that shoots 95grn SSTs very well (.200" groups), but I haven't been able to get it to group well with 70 grn boattails. I think the twist (1in10) is too tight for lighter loads, but I would like to to find a "fur friendly" round for it.
Ant first hand info will be appreciated.

hey hills.............
i use to use a .243 on yotes.... as far as the 70. grainers not grouping well, the gun may just not the load.we use to use the sierra 60 hp. we loaded them down some and they were definately fur friendly... coyotes would run as far as 500yd. that is no good either.. so we loaded them to the max. and that stopped them. hide damage was still not what one would hope for. we also loaded the hornady 70 gr. sx. these worked the best, i really prefer the old sx bullet to any of these new tipped bullets. good luck.
