My son Matt participated in a special youth hunt this past weekend. He killed this spike at 3:10 on Saturday afternoon, it weighed 74 pounds. He had passed up two other bucks this size and a few does but decided since it was so late in the hunt that he would take this one. I WAS GLAD! After we dressed it and loaded it on the "deer stroller", we had to pull it and all the gear about 3/4 mile up a steep hill to get it to the truck. I swear that deer weighed 800 pounds before we got him in the truck!

Congratulations to you Matt and the Proud Papa(aka. GH), how did skining go?
Hopefully I'll get to share a couple of similar pictures after I take my daugther and son in a couple of weeks.
I'm still waiting for pictures from Doc's great adventure with the 6 Lil' Gals.

That smile does tell it all, glad to see a young man involved with hunting. Also proud of a Dad that takes the time to teach his son/sons/daughters our special way of life.
