The only thing I can add to that picture would be the shoulder pads that hogs have. While skinning a hog this past weekend it hit me that this is probably something that should be mentioned for those that have never hunted hogs. These shoulder pads are like a thick hard almost cartilage like layer under the skin covering the front shoulders. They are there to protect them against other boars while fighting. For bow hunters I would suggest to shoot one quartering away so that the arrow would just miss this pad and still make a good pass thru taking out the lungs and possible the heart. The best thing I like about this picture is where it shows the brain. I suggest to all rifle hunters when given the opportunity to ear hole a hog. Its lights out instantly, even with some of the smaller calibers we use to varmint hunt with. An example is I shot one last yr with my .243 using hand loaded 60 Sierra hollow points right in the ear - it just dropped ....... no kicking or squealing or anything. I also shot one with the same bullet that same night thru the front shoulders - he ran 30 or so yards and would have went further but was stopped by a good barbed wire fence. I had to take out my 9mm and place one behind its ear to finish him off. Tough critters!!!

that right. whate for that head shot. you don't want to track hogs in texas every thing you walk into sicks ya , bites ya or grabs ya. and thay do not last to long laying around every thing eats them. and fast thay will come to the feeder tence like a bear but give them a little time and thay will relax so you can get the shot you need. then one in the ear,,,
