Well this past weekend we were fortunate enough to have 3 very nice people out to hunt hogs. KellyG and his wife Karen, and their daughter Katie showed up Saturday evening around 2:15. Karen was wanting to take a nice hog with her bow, but the West Texas wind decided to not shift and was blowing from the stand to the feeder. Instead she pulled out her 30-30 and hunted in one of our rifle stands. As the day got longer the wind got stronger and with the help of the neighboring rancher the hogs never did show up to the feeder. The wind we couldn't help, but we are in the process of taking care of our neighboring rancher. Karen we deeply apologize for this. KellyG and Katie choose to hunt in the other rifle ground blind near one of the stock tanks. For the past couple of weeks the hogs had been hitting this feeder real hard, but not on Saturday. We were really hoping that Katie would be able to take a hog home with her, but unfortunately they had other plans. We were really disappointed in the hogs not coming in, but we were fortunate enough to met three super nice people. Hats off to Kelly and Karen for taking their daughter hunting and spending time with her in the great outdoors. Don't worry Katie one day them hogs will cooperate!!! We hope to have you back out once the weather cools off a bit and cooperates a little better.

We had a great time meeting captkb and the crew! We really enjoyed sitting on the hill with ya'll before we started hunting. Like captkb said, the hogs just didn't cooperate on this one but we'll definitely be going back to give'em another chance to do so ;D I will say this, if you want to dove hunt, this place is amazing!! I have NEVER seen so many doves in one location!! Captkb, tell the guys we had a great time and we'll see ya'll again!
