604 yards is nice with a 223. Glad to have another p-dogger here.

Fuzz I am not sure which one is more impressive the distance with a pistol or the distance with such a light bullet. In our NM winds the 55gr bullets don't last for ranges like that without lots of shots. I prefer 100 gr + bullets for true long range p-dog pickin here.

It wasn`t on the first shot I`ll tell ya that, but I`ve shot my pistols so much that I know pretty much what they will do.I`ve got an Anschutz 22 Hornet that I can regulary take dogs at 300 with it.It ain`t real fast but it sure is accurate.2200 fps with a 40 gr bullet and will group 3/8 at 100 for 5 shots if I do my part..If ya shot pistols ya might want to look at the pistol rest that I make..Give me a hollar and I`ll send ya some pics....

600 yards i would need a barrel 590 yard long to make that shot.

I try to keep my shots under 75 yards, gets pretty iffy out past that. But on a rare occasion I can get lucky out to 100.

That one you made at 225 yds....Uh I mean 225 ft. No it was 225 inches was an awesome shot. By the way it was a pdog, right? That rancher wasn't really missing a brown horse was he? At that distance it can be hard to tell.

Got a little winter weather here over the past couple of days but its gonna warm right back up. A little time and a still day is about all it would take to get me back out to a prairie dog town, but around here those are 2 pretty scarce commodities.

My longest was 684 yards with my Remington VLS in 6mm Rem. My boy shot one the same day at 645 yards with his 300 Win Mag. Shooting 180 gr. Nosler partitions. That kid is tougher than I am. We got them in SW Wyoming on unusually calm day.
