Hey Sarge, These hunts are very limited just because they are free ranging animals. The rancher doesn't just go to the auction and get more. If you would like me to put you on the waiting list, just send let me know. Good Hunting, Bob bconnell@satx.rr.com

.....other than a blackbuck doe in heat, I am afraid I don't know of anything! I hope they find their way over there!!! They are persistent little buggers.....

I the Past few years I have found that Tinks 69 works fairly good to bring the Blackbucks out of hiding.I tried theis on a Place I have manged in Stonewall afew months back and it worked to get a few Bucks t ostay around long enough for the hunter to take them.
If you get the Bucks coming the does will not be far behind. I do have a few hunts for them but all hunts are Before or after Deer Season as this place is leased to my Brother in Law this year.

One of them is high on my list. What is the average length of horn on one? I have a chance in TN in March but they are 18" is that respectible?

18" would in my opinion be highly satisfactory. Whats the price on an animal like that?

18" and up is considered a trophy.
Tooth-Did yours end up going 20"? I couldn't remember.

Sabre2th in Tn it is $995, for an 18". Included is 3 nights and all meals. For $300 more you can get a 20". I am going on a hunt there in march for hog but might hold out for the Balck Buck on a Texas hunt.

Bob, I deeply regret not having pulled up this thread until tonight. Still, I cannot even begin to use language that would appropriately convey my excitement over seeing what is available at your friend's Camp Wood spread. As you probably already know, I'm paying $1,000 next month (just the trophy fee) for a specimen no better than either of those in the above posted photos (trophies harvested by you and GoneHuntin'). So keep me on your list and get to me when you can!
Also, I will come with the intention to entertain you! My long range training has been increasingly intense this past Fall, with visits to the ranges on which I shoot as frequently as twice a week. I've even begun meticulous ly compiling data on the long range performance of two loads, in particular, for my .300 WSM, chronographing and re-chronographing them under varying meteorologic conditions, as well as doing a comparative analysis of actual and projected trajectories for them. At this point, all an animal of that size would have to do is stand still for at least 10 seconds and at a distance up to 700 yards, he would join the other four Blackbuck shoulder mounts on my walls. At a distance up to 1000 yards, there would be no guarantee, but I still wouldn't trade places with him for a chance at 100 of the finest does in Texas!!!

Some one explain the color phase of the Black Buck. When are they the darkest? Or why are some dark and some brown? Thanks
