Well I guess that I will introduce myself also. My name is Raymond (Ray) Smith I live in Whitney, Tx I've been hunting for so long now, lets see if I can recall, it's been about 3yrs. now. ;D But in 3yrs. I've taken 2 Whitetails, 1 Javalina, 1 Feral Hog, 3 Blackbuck (Ol' One Horn & 2 does), 1 Aoudad, and 2 Doves. I will hunt anything (as long as it's legal) and everything. So Bob when are you going to offer to guide me on a Predator or Varmit hunt?

Hey there, oh great "2th'd" one, Welcome to the posse! I have to post a photo of you with Ol' One Horn. Ray took this blackbuck after a VERY long day and many, many stalks. He was an elusive ghost-like fixture on the ranch. He is by far the nicest buck to ever come onto the ranch, except for the one missing horn. How did you end up getting him mounted, with one or two horns?? Good Hunting, Bob

Well after just over 1yr. since that hunt I have still to get my mount back from the taxidermist. But she does a wonderful job. I have opted to have Ol' One Horn remembered as he lived.

Bob: Thanks for inviting me to the board. Looks like it will be a good and unique place to visit in a sea of hunting boards out there now. I made a career change a little over a year ago when the energy industry crashed. I cashed in my 401k and bought a business that buys and reconditions large appliances. It may sound simple but it ain't. We take in over 1500 appliances a month and either part them out, sell them wholesale or fix them and sell them retail at my store. Have 26 employees that resembles the United Nations - USA, Phillipines, El Salvador, Argentina, Equador, US, Africa, Mexico - and one cross dresser (we think! {but only after hours }) All the negotiation skills that I learned over a 30 year career went out the window. I make less money, work harder, have higher stress levels, but still enjoy it more too. My father started me hunting when I was 6 or so. (49 years ago) I enjoy hunting anything with wings or that howls or growls!

Hey John,
Welcome to the Posse!! I am glad you made it over here. It sounds like things are progressing well up at your lease.
FYI-If you get a chance, try Nana's. It is where the D&E Restaurant used to be........as good as the Cracker Barrel.
For those of you that have not been to good ol' Robert Lee, TX, the Craker Barrel there is not part of the chain. It is one of the best places to eat home cookin' in west Texas.
Good Hunting,
Bob

Welcome to the board, Aggie. Glad you made it here. It is definitely time to hang (another) bobcat on the wall. I still grin when I think of some of the good conversations and tales from the Robert Lee hunt. How many women do you know that will poke a small stick down a hole in the ground trying to get a rattler to come out??? ;D
