greetings, My name is Nelson Trumbull, from Centennial Colorado. I have been hunting since I was a tike. In '98 I moved to Africa and lived over there for a year working as a professional hunter for a safari company. I get back there once in a while to bowhunt, Great fun and good people. (married now, haven't been back since I try to get down to S. Texas at least once a year, dig those hogs and predators! To sum it up, any kind of critter, any type of hunting, sounds like fun! Look forward to reading great hunting stories.

Hey Nelson,
Welcome to the Posse! It sounds like you have been around the block hunting. Let us know when you head this way again and we'll see if we can rally a few Posse members for a cup of coffee!
Where did you live/hunt in Africa?
Good Hunting,
Bob

Bobcat, Tahnks for the greeting. I lived in the Northern Prov. for most of my stay. Some time in a small area called George's valley near a town called Tzaneen. Where I worked as a hunter was outside of an even smaller town called Alldays on the very Northern border of RSA just below the Botswana/ Zimbabwe border. Very dry country but beautiful none the less, miss it often. Lots of big game species including very good Kudu. Our predators included lots of leopard, jakal, genet, brown and spotted hyena (very few due to heavy pressure from cattle ranchers), cheetah. look forward to possibly meeting/ hunting with y'all (mom's side of family all from Louisiana one day. Nelson

JHoward, Thanks for the hello. I get down to your neck of the woods occasionally, usually on the job transporting "clients" to Trinidad correctional facility. I love the country down there and always wonder what the hunting is like for predators. Sometime when I get a weekend we should meet for a hunt, thanks for the invite. Likewise, if ever in the neighborhood give me a shout. Happy hunting.

Howdy all, looks to be a great site for BS'n around the old keyboard campfire. I live in Carlsbad NM, hunted for as long as I can remember. I got a new Pellet gun every year for christmas when I was a kid. I got my first .22 when I was 5 Years old (a little Chipmunk), and deer hunted for the first time when I was in the 5th grade. I got hooked on preditor hunting in Texas though, My grandparents owned a farm (that we worked on during the summers and weekends)around Salt Flat (between Carlsbad and El Paso). looking back on it, we had the best coyote hunting I've ever been a part of. The yotes were not call smart, and there were plenty of them. If we didn't call one up in about 5 minutes, we packed it up and went somewhere else (impatient kids we were). Anyhow here I am now still hooked on calling in that wild-eyed preditor or elk with homeade calls. There is just something a bit more rewarding with calling in something that you made with your own hands.
Glad to be a part of the posse, Thanks for the invite
Happy hunting
Curt

Sure looks like this is a great board. I can't wait to check it out further. I am a once in a while caller but I enjoy it very much when I do have time to go. I work for a telephone company a it takes a lot of my time, but I would rather be calling than deer hunting or anything else. I am the proud dad of three great kids 2 girls and 1 boy and I take them hunting horseback riding and all other things I can that involve the outdoors. Ireally am looking forward to being a member of this board.
