I recently decided that I "needed" a new rifle, so after doing a lot of research on several hunting forums, etc. I decided on a CZ 527 American in 223. I had been looking at the Savage 12 FV and a couple others, but after holding these rifles my decision was made. The CZ American model has a tapered barrel, which makes it nice and light to carry around all day. The fit and feel is as close to perfect for me as I have found. I was concerned about the accuracy, but after looking at the 1/2 inch group on the test target I was cautiously optimistic. I have put a couple hundred rounds through it at the range and it consistantly shoots sub MOA. It's a real shooter. I'm glad I let it follow me home.

I just purchased one yesterday in 221 Fireball. It has the nicest piece of wood I have ever seen on a factory rifle. I'm waiting on a Burris scope to arrive tomorrow via the Brown Truck. Hope its a shooter!!
Haven't figured how to post a picture on this site yet, but its on Saubier if you're interested in looking at the wood.
;D

Come-on Bob I'll bet that you say that to all the guys. ;D LOL S2th! ROFLMAO!!!!! You are on a roll !! In all honesty though, that is a good looking stock on that rifle. Have heard nothing but good things about the CZ; both from aesthetics and performance perspectives.

Definetly some nice wood stocks on these rifles. What so they run anyway and who sells them? I don't think I have ever seen one at the local gun store.

I bought mine at McBrides in Austin for just under $500. They have a huge selection of just about everything you can imagine, but they are a bit proud of their stuff(pricey). But if you are willing, they can be talked down a little. Another choice would be mail order, thegunsource.com has them for $476. But you have to pay for the transfer if you dont have a FFL. Hope that helps, Mark
