Kelly, I resigned up to that lease board. So you can look on there still if you still have the link and password to look for any large properties. Steve

Doc, That is what you need.....another project! I have intentionally stayed out of this thread. I wanted to see what would come of it. I have seen too many projects similar to this die or get ugly....... It looks like y'all are serious and Doc is definitely the man to spearhead this.....if he is willing and his time will permit. Just remember, if you are not serious about coming up with the pesos when the time comes, please don't fuel the flames. That is my only disclaimer...... Now........ We have put together a very good group of hunters already here at the Posse. I think we can come up with a group lease/s that we can manage properly with Doc's help. I am truly impressed with the quality of our membership. Of course I know many of you from years past, but I have gotten to know a lot of you in the past few weeks in person (CoonDawg, Dead Eye, Texasdoc, and SHOOTER to name a few), and even more on the phone and through e-mails. Everyone to date has been a stand up guy I would be proud to share a campfire with. I think with the quality of our membership this project can get off the ground. Thanks for helping make this board a quality place to hang out! It can only get better from here..... Bob

Bob, thats for the kind words,I have a lot on my plate as deer season Starts on Saturday OMG Saturday morning is going to be fun. I will talk to a few Freinds and see if I can find a Place. I only have a few Questions
1) How much per hunter? 2) How much land per Hunter do you want ? 3) how many are there going to be? 4) are you going to want to bring out Wives and Kids to hunt also.
these are question I need to know before looking.
I will ask you for help in this project as I do have to work sometimes, and Like Bob stated if you are not willing to stand up when the times comes let me know we can always work out any type of problems if I know about them in advance.
Lets make this a Fun place to get togather and hunt.
I will be gone for thenext few days but will be checking the Board form time to time.
Good Luck to all on the First day of Deer Season 2003.

;DHey guys... this is by far one of the most exciting things that I've seen on the NET! If we can pull this off, we can certainly hold our heads high.
We've got a lot of very knowledgeable people communicating with each other... that's very, very important. We may never find the "perfect" lease; but we can find something that we all can work with. I knew some people near Rock Springs that took 10,000 acres and 5 years of work, and it began really paying off last year!
The "first step" is the hardest! We're getting close to taking that first step and WALKIN! ;D ;D ;D

Doc, to answer your questions from my perspective: 1) How much per hunter? 2) what type of land do you want? 3) how many are there going to be? 4) are you going to want to bring out Wives and Kids to hunt also. 1. I could go up to probably $1500 but would prefer $1000 or less 2. Don't care as long as there is AT LEAST 250-300 acres per hunter 3. See answer #2 but the more folks, the harder to get a consensus on things. With the group here, I don't think that would be a big problem. 4. Must have for me On the game, deer, hogs, exotics would be great! Anything else would be gravy.... One thing I want to add is that I am primarily a bow hunter and there can be conflicts on a mixed lease but, once again, with this group I think it would work.... Next......

1. 1000. - 1500. 2. Hunting type 3. Dependant on one location or more 4. A must
Maybe we can allocate Bow hunting weeks or weekends without firearms to accomodate bowhunters.
